Sent and Appointed

We returned home from ABWE (Association of Baptists for World Evangelism) Candidate School and Enrichment Conference July 26th. It is hard to believe we have been home for a month already! Just to recap, we are being sent by Bethesda Baptist Church in Brownsburg, Indiana and appointed by ABWE as career missionaries to Papua New Guinea.

Candidate Class of 2013 information:

  • Number of people appointed: 60
  • Average age of appointees: 37
  • 20 appointees in their 20’s
  • 20 appointees in their 30’s
  • 10 appointees in their 40’s
  • 10 appointees in their 50’s

Part of our training while at ABWE included Good Soil training. This training includes 40 lessons from The Story of Hope and 20 lessons from The Way of Joy. The Story of Hope is a wonderful evangelism tool starting in the beginning of The Bible in Genesis. The Way of Joy is a great resource for discipleship. We highly recommend these resources. Free leadership guides are available ONLINE.

We were also privileged to be able to attend the Missions Enrichment Conference. We were encouraged from God’s Word and testimonies from veteran missionaries, many who have served on the field for 35 years or more.

Moving Forward:

With much anticipation, our prayer cards, Facebook page, and website have been launched. JB Waggoner and Eddie Ferguson have partnered with us to put together a couple of videos for our ministry presentation. We are very grateful for their involvement. We will be posting the videos when they are available. We have been arranging individual meetings with those that are interested in learning more about our ministry to the people of Papua New Guinea. In the near future we will be scheduling meetings with churches.

How You Can Help:

We would ask that you partner with us, by way of prayer and financial support, as we reach the lost in Papua New Guinea through evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and AWANA. In future updates, we will be posting more details about our ministry and how God has led us to this point in our lives. Contact us if you would like to have a personal presentation. LIKE our Facebook page to continue to glean little snippets of information of how God continues to work in our lives.
